You should aim to use gems that provide you with Haste, as that is ourmost valued secondary stat. The list below consists of gems that are all verygood for Protection Warriors.

You should use Culminating Blasphemite in one socket. Then, you should ensure you have one gem of each type in other sockets to max out the Crit effect, ideally Quick Ruby/ Quick Onyx/ Quick Sapphire/ Deadly Emerald. Fill in remaining sockets with Deadly Emerald.
